A version of the SNAP Challenge that would actually help people on SNAP

SNAP

I like it.

If the intention of austerity challenges is to help poor people, I would think wealthy activists would be enthusiastic about this.  Presumably, SNAP challenges are intended to raise awareness and thus, help create public policy that closes economic inequality. That’s great because no matter what, we need a system in place that acts as a safety net for people in need. However, the research out there clearly says that one of the very best way to help poor people is to straight up give them cash. No strings attached.

So,Millionaires…. is this a challenge you want to Take Part in? I think I could probably connect you with some people.

That’s just a start. There’s a good amount of info on the Moncton,Canada project and other projects that involved Native communities in both the US and Canada if you’re more interested in domestic studies rather than global.
