Knot Tying

image by Mary Engelbreit. I had a print of this for a long time on my wall. Actually now that I’m thinking about it, I think it was a page from one of the ME calendars that I framed. I loved the quote, even though it bothered me that I was sure Teddy Roosevelt had said that thing. He might have. The Internet doesn’t seem to know who said it really. It’s ok. It’s relevant to my current state so I don’t care.

I’m tying a big,fat knot in the end of my rope today. Making sure the rope is extra thick just in case some mofo tries to cut my knot off. Kicking anyone who tries that nonsense in the face anyway.

(2017: You already suck. There is no such thing as “fresh starts” in the calendar for poor people)
