Today is César Chávez Day, an official holiday in Texas, California, And Colorado. This day honors not only his birthday but his dedication to making life better for farm workers and their families and his lasting impression on the civil rights movement.
My local Mayor Svante Myrick was on MSNBC the other day talking to Ronan Farrow about Ithaca’s Living Wage. The city minimum wage is now $12.62/hr.
